Introduction to the different strains of kratom

Kratom or mitragyna speciosa is a plant native to Southeast Asia, and one of the best known and most used in traditional Asian natural medicine. A cousin of coffee, its leaves contain a series of alkaloids that are attributed with different benefits and effects that provide us with well-being and help us combat various problems.

Within the wide world of different strains that exist, we are going to focus on the ones we have been working with for years. As you know, we have three different types of veins, so we are going to start with the green ones, which are characterized by their well-being-enhancing effects and balanced feeling of motivation.

The most well-known, Bali, is synonymous with quality. It is very versatile and balanced, which is why it is often the best-known sibling to which the others are compared.

We can think that it contains all the properties of the other strains, but in a more balanced way.

Another of the most well-known strains, Maeng Da,  is popular for being one of the most potent. It is worth noting that this strain is specifically cultivated with the intention of obtaining more alkaloids, therefore it contains more analgesic properties than Bali, being almost at the level of a red vein, but with a slight energetic touch.

Let’s talk about Super Green Malay. This strain, of Malaysian origin, has aspects similar to Maeng Da in terms of analgesic and sedative properties, but adding the great energy boost so characteristic of white veins. With a strong aroma and its greenish appearance, it is the variety with longer lasting effects than any other.

As for Green Sumatra, originally from this Indonesian island, it has a high content of mitragynine, is potent and perfectly balanced. It is known for having a full spectrum of effects, combining the energy supply of white veins with the analgesic properties of red varieties. We can compare its stimulating effects with those of Bali and the long-lasting relaxing effects of Super Green Malay.

To finish off the green varieties, we have an old acquaintance, Green Borneo. Originally from the island of Borneo, it is a perfect example of balance. It helps reduce stress, boosting your mood and energy in the long term.

We continue this path through our strains, now focusing on white veins. Popular for providing potentially energizing and stimulating effects that help mood and concentration, they are called this because of the color that the veins of their leaves acquire.

White Borneo  is one of the classic whites of exceptional quality, with an intense aroma, it helps to maintain concentration and focus, as well as an extra long-term energy supply.

White Vein Thai, our latest addition, is a Thai strain that is perfect to complement our catalogue. Like its sister, it provides long-lasting energy and helps with concentration and mood, but as a differentiating point, it contains analgesic properties like those found in a strain like Bali.

We will finish this review with red veins, characterized by their strong flavor and high content of alkaloids that promote calm and pain relief.

Red Bali is one of the most versatile red varieties, it has similarities with Bali, hence its name, but adding an extra point of stimulation. Maintaining that identity for which red varieties are known, this strain is also the one with the least red influence due to having aspects of other strains.

We finish with Red Vein Kali, originally from the Kalimantan region in Indonesia and popularly known for its kratom industry, it helps with relaxation and pain relief, providing a mild and long-lasting sedative sensation. It also contains nuances of Maeng Da, when talking about its analgesic properties, for all this, it becomes a very special red strain.

I hope I have helped you with any questions you may have and that you can choose the strain that best suits you. For those of you who are interested in several of them, we inform you that we have two sample packs, Classic and Indo-Malay, where you will find a selection of three different strains in each of them.
